Geometry Teaching Portfolio
Toothpick Bridge Project
Soon after I finished my year-long student teaching internship, I took a position with Lansing School District. I finished out the school year teaching geometry. With only six weeks of school left, I used what I learned at MSU about project based learning. The students were learning about lines and angles. At the end of the chapter, they were to create a toothpick bridge, including all of the terms they learned in their design.
Below is a copy of the rubric I gave to my students and pictures of their designs.
